At Snow Farm we believe in the power of positivity. More hugs and smiles in the world and that’s exactly what happens here on the West Shore. Snow Farm Vines are happy and like to share the love. In the summer time they grow slowly and quietly until the brisk Autumn temperatures send them dormant for the Winter. Just before they go dormant the grape clusters on the vine ripen to their “sweet spot” as the sugar levels in the fruit rise and we get into harvesting some of the best fruit in Vermont. Harvesters gather together working hard to bring in the harvest. Good conversation and smiles spread throughout the vineyard as the vines get worked and the fruit comes in. Smiles, laughter and, more hard work goes into the juice fermenting into wine. The wines go into the tasting room or to a farmers market where they are tasted. Tastes are accompanied by smiles as folks pick out wines for meals, gatherings, celebrations and island afternoons on the lake with family and friends. There the hugs and smiles continue to spread throughout the world. Happiness that started with these Snow Farm Vines that like to share the love.
The Winter coat of snow coverers the vineyard and keeps the vines warm and happy beneath the blanket. The vineyard is quiet and still as the vines lay dormant waiting for bud break in the Spring. Throughout the winter the tasting room is warm and cozy open Saturdays and Sundays 11-4 pm. Friday nights are quintessential Vermont evenings where people gather around the wholeness of music, food, wine, hugs and smiles. Every Friday night throughout the winter folks gather in the tasting room to celebrate, relax, eat, and enjoy each other. This makes Snow Farm Vines happiest of all.
Come listen to the music Friday nights. Doors open at 5:00 and music starts at 6:30. Free event open to the public. The Tasting Room is also open Saturdays and Sundays 11-4 pm.
